3rd SUL Conference

The society for underutilized legumes (SUL) is devoted to improving awareness, research and utilization of underutilized legumes in the tropics. The 3rd annual conference is jointly organized by the Society for Underutilized Legumes (SUL), Institute of Agricultural Research and Training (IAR&T), Obafemi Awolowo University, More Plantation, Ibadan and the Genetic Resources Center, International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA), Ibadan, Nigeria. The conference provides a platform for great minds to discuss science; particularly the impact of Underutilized legumes in bridging the gap between food insecurity and global population growth.


Ibadan is a serene urban center in Oyo State, Southwest Nigeria. Ibadan is home to several Universities, Colleges of Higher education and Agricultural Research Institutes of which IAR&T is one.

IAR&T is one of the four University-based research Institutes in Nigeria. The Institute is divided into seven programmes with national and zonal mandates. More information about the Institute is available at www.iart.gov.ng
